What is the difference between an empirical formula and a molecular formula?

The empirical formula gives the relative number of atoms of each element in a compound, (ie. Hydrogen peroxide is HO)

whereas the molecular formula gives the actual number of atoms of each element in a molecule of a compound. (ie. Hydrogen peroxide is H2O2)
