Why does urea diffuse from blood into dialysis fluid during hemodialysis?

0 votes
The dialysis membrane is permeable only to urea.
Urea molecules are more concentrated in blood than in dialysis fluid.
Special diets in the hemodialysis patients increase urea concentrations.
This prevents the loss of essential water during hemodialysis.
